In order to meet UK Visas & Immigration requirements, the University has to ensure that we check the immigration status of our students and that we are certain that you have Permission to Study in the UK.
You are therefore required to work through the checklists below and provide:
Passport: If you have not already done so, please provide details of your current passport and a colour photograph/scan of the bio-data page containing your photograph, passport number, start date and end date.
Immigration Status: When asked, please provide details of your UK immigration status demonstrating that you have permission to study.
If you have an eVisa you will need to provide a share code which you must first generate on UKVI’s website.
Other: If you are travelling to the UK, please retain your boarding pass as evidence of the date you enter the country.
If you apply to UKVI for a visa, please retain your confirmation email and decision letter.
As part of the student registration process, you will be required to attend an event in person so that the Student Immigration Team can check your documents, verify your immigration status and complete the Immigration ID Check process integral to your registration.
If you require any assistance, please email studentimmigration@stir.ac.uk

Immigration Status
You have confirmed that you will seek ‘leave to enter’ on arrival. There are no further actions required until you arrive in the UK.
Once you have arrived in the UK, please retain a copy of your boarding pass as evidence of your arrival. If you have not received an immigration document prior to travel then you will have no document to complete the next section.
In this case, you should use the date you enter the UK as the start date and add 6 months to get the end date (a visitor who does not require a visa is automatically given 6 months entry). Your boarding pass can then be uploaded as your evidence of entry to the UK.

Thank you for advising you have dual nationality.
If you have not done so, please upload your passport through the above Passport upload process so that we can update your record.
