In order to meet UK Visas & Immigration requirements, the University has to ensure that we check the immigration status of our students. You are therefore required to work through the checklists below. You must upload a scanned colour copy of your passport and immigration permission (e.g. your visa) to complete Student Registration.
If you receive a visa document for travel in your passport prior to travel, please upload a copy of the visa document in your passport and then generate and email us a ‘Share Code’ on UKVI’s website so we can verify your visa status. Please retain copies of your flight tickets/boarding pass. When you arrive in the UK, you automatically switch to an eVisa which is valid for the duration of your course. We will need both the physical visa issued for travelling to the UK and your eVisa evidenced by a share code and this upload process will give you the opportunity to provide both.
Some nationalities, or applicants who apply for their Immigration Permission from within the UK, may not receive a physical visa in their passport before travel. If you do not receive a visa in your passport, you should receive a letter/email from UKVI confirming that your visa details. Please email this to us along with a ‘Share Code’ you generate on UKVI’s website. We will then complete your Visa Checklist for you.

Once you have arrived in the UK, please retain a copy of your boarding pass as evidence of your arrival. If you have not received an immigration document prior to travel then you will have no document to complete the next section. In this case, you should use the date you enter the UK as the start date and add 6 months to get the end date (a visitor who does not require a visa is automatically given 6 months entry). Your boarding pass can then be uploaded as your evidence of entry to the UK.
